Many students disagree with this administration’s approach to the education system, including me. I’m a part of the 20-person student organizing team for the April 4 walkout, a group of teenagers from across the province who’ve put our hearts and souls into this day of action. My hopes are that students who feel their needs and the needs of their teachers are being neglected will reclaim their voices and fight for their right to a fair education as we walk out of class at 1 p.m. We’ve created signs, planned chants, and will be dressed in black in order to mourn what may be lost through these proposed changes.
